WestJet Pilots Are Ready to Negotiate.

On September 1, 2026, WestJet pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), formally announced their intention to begin negotiations with WestJet management for their third collective agreement.

WestJet pilots are ready to work toward a fair agreement that recognizes their experience and contributions while supporting a strong, stable airline for the pilots, employees, passengers, and communities who depend on WestJet.

Status of Negotiations

WestJet pilots have formally opened negotiations for their third collective agreement. Our pilot leaders and Negotiating Committee have been preparing for months, and we are ready to get to work.

Our goal is a fair agreement that brings greater stability to WestJet pilots, the airline, and the passengers who count on us.

We are approaching these negotiations seriously and constructively, with a focus on long-term solutions for career growth, working conditions, scheduling, and safety. We expect WestJet management and its ownership group, Onex, to bring that same commitment to the bargaining table.
